This Might Be Offensive
More country music about Jesus.
When I heard this one, I didn’t like the comparison at all. I thought the idea of Jesus as a “hillbilly” was offensive. For some reason, “country boy” was easy to stomach, but not hillbilly. Afterall, the latter is so unsophisticated and looked down upon—and then I realized what I was doing.
